Twitter Acquires Chroma Labs; Stories Are Apparently On the Way

Twitter has recently announced that it has acquired Chroma Labs, the Chroma Stories app company. So far, Twitter has not disclosed the financial details about the acquisition. Chroma Labs creates Stories templates and filters for creating content on different social media platforms – including Instagram, Snapchat, etc.  Dantly Davis, VP of Design and Research at Twitter, mentioned in his tweet, “Their expertise in creating tools that help people connect and share completely align with our work to serve the public conversation.”

Is Virtual Influencer Marketing a Safe Option?

With Instagram and Facebook, stories have become an essential advertising unit appealing a broad audience that Twitter is missing.  Another spokesperson from Twitter confirmed that Chroma Labs team would join its design, product, and engineering teams and will be “Working to give people more creative ways to express themselves in conversations on Twitter.”
