According to a press release, Toyota is aiming to reduce the carbon footprint of its digital ad campaigns by up to 20% by integrating with a new software firm.

The manufacturer is one of the GroupM clients who use SeenThis adaptive streaming service. The service focuses on reducing ad load times, which reduces the amount of data required to conduct campaigns efficiently. Since January, GroupM has been using ‘SeenThis’ technology and states that the outcomes in terms of performance and sustainability have been satisfactory.

As digital takes a larger percentage of media spending and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations grow more pressing, such solutions may become more popular.
