TikTok has proclaimed establishing a novel Safety Advisory Council in Europe, which will provide specialist, third-party insight into its multiple contents and implementation decisions to enhance its overall strategy.
TikTok has encountered a host of challenges across its content moderation processes and the security of younger users, both within Europe and other countries.
Many countries have banned TikTok for its failure to safeguard children against exposure to offensive materials in terms of content. As the European Commission investigates more claims that TikTok unveils young users to inappropriate content, TikTok should take suitable action. The establishment of a Safety Advisory Council will ideally serve it to tackle these challenges.
