TikTok is looking to strengthen its link with music trends through a new alliance with SiriusXM and Pandora, which will result in the launch of ‘TikTok Radio,’ a new digital radio station that will feature playlists from, and partnerships with, TikTok influencers during the summer in the US.
TikTok clarified that the channel, which will be sonically synced to the TikTok experience, will sound like a radio version of the platform’s “For You” page. The TikTok Radio channel will feature a diverse community of TikTok creators throughout the day showcasing trending music and stories behind the songs, and a weekly music countdown dedicated to TikTok’s top trending tracks.
