TikTok is expanding its partnership with Shopify to give Shopify merchants more options to market their products directly to their app’s audience.
TikTok has launched a new shop tab expansion for Shopify merchant profiles, which will bring a new product display showcase to the in-app presence, as the name implies.
According to the company, Shopify merchants with a TikTok For Business account will be capable of adding a shopping tab to their TikTok profiles and sync their product catalogs to create a mini-storefront that links straight to their online store for checkout.
Users are referred back to the merchant’s Shopify store for purchase, so it’s not exactly straight in-stream shopping.
