With the platform launching the initial phase of its TikTok Shops integration in the US, TikTok is gradually increasing the number of in-app shopping options and putting more emphasis on in-stream commerce.

Users can now browse products and even make purchases through TikTok Shops on their profiles in a separate tab without leaving the app. The latest move TikTok has made to increase the focus on in-stream shopping is the launch of shops with chosen US brands.

In order to increase commerce engagement, TikTok has also been promoting shopping live-streams, and even more intriguingly, it has been hiring for positions in US-based fulfilment centres, which would streamline customer delivery and returns.
