TikTok Intends to Establish a Revenue Share Program

TikTok is currently facing difficulties with user growth and creator revenue share amid ongoing worries about its connection to the Chinese Government, which has raised serious concerns about its future in the US.

According to The Information, TikTok is developing a new program called “Creator Fund 2.0” that will give the app’s biggest stars more opportunities to monetize their work. The platform is also working on a program that will let creators paywall longer videos in the app. The Information claims that in response to criticism of its initial Creator Fund, which increased creators’ earnings, TikTok’s new creator funding model will offer higher payouts to creators.

Additionally, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew will make his debut before a Congressional committee on March 23 when he appears before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
