TikTok Expands Its AR Investment with Camera IQ Features

With the integration of Camera IQ’s software tools, TikTok is allowing brands to create Augmented Reality (AR) effects for its social video platform.

Warner Bros, Discovery’s Cartoon Network and Estée Lauder’s Smashbox cooperated with the firm to generate branded AR content for the social video app in preparation for the launch. According to the statement, the AR authoring tools are available in TikTok’s Effect House, the app’s experimental centre for video producers.

The Effect House software, which is now in beta testing, is accessible for Mac computers to download. Brands can use Camera IQ to create AR effects without having to write any code. Smashbox collaborated with Camera IQ to develop a TikTok AR effect for a new line of cosmetics.
