TikTok is working to develop stronger monetization processes for its short-form video content in order to capitalize on its vast potential and provide more incentives to keep its top users posting to the app rather than moving on to more lucrative pastures as competitors emerge.

E-commerce will be a key component of this, and according to Bloomberg, TikTok is currently working on improving its in-stream shopping tools, with a recent test of product listings on profiles for some European companies.

TikTok is reportedly testing the new features with brands like Hype before expanding them and adding new, direct shopping options inside the app.
