With the platform announcing the ability to cast the TikTok feed to user TV via Chromecast, a lot more people will now be able to watch clips from the app on their home TV screens.
L later in the year, Google plans to enable TikTok live-streams via Chromecast. Through a partnership with video content provider Atmosphere, its “Out of Phone” ad option, and its connected TV app, TikTok has expanded the ways that its content can be viewed on larger screens.
The company said that more people will be able to watch TikToks at home with more than 150 million active devices running Android TV or Google TV each month. This could also result in new opportunities for brand awareness and ad reach.
