Carla Piñyero Sublett, IBM’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, joined the brand in February after leading marketing at some of the world’s largest B2B tech companies, including 15 years at Dell, 3 years at Rackspace, a cloud provider, and 2 years at National Instruments.

According to Carla, B2B tech marketing is experiencing a disruption. The same plays are being run by everyone. Everyone is saturating the same channels, offering no value to customers/ decision-makers. Piñeyro sees a huge opportunity for IBM to be very unambiguous about its new exclusive focus on multi-cloud services and AI as it prepares to spin off its IT services subsidiary, Kyndryl.
