Sprout Social, a social media management software company, has paid USD 140 million for Tagger Media, an influencer marketing and social intelligence platform.

The acquisition expands Sprout Social’s extensive social media management and analytics offerings by enabling users to find influencers and design campaigns around them. Marketers can evaluate the effectiveness of influencer campaigns using ROI and trends reports with Tagger Media’s unified SaaS solution, which is available to brands and agencies.

The company claims that post the collaboration, brands can also use it to research the tactics of rival companies.
