Facebook has continuously stressed on group engagement and has worked to develop new opportunities for organizations to create connect in the relevant groups and communities. The social media platform announced the launch of the sponsored post option for groups. Brands can already run advertisements in the Groups feed. Facebook has been searching for ways to deploy another possible revenue generator targeted specifically at the group admins.
It has launched the functionality of new brand partnership posts that are embedded directly into the groups’ experience. It is an extension of the pre-existing Branded Content Tools, and similar to previous options, the funded posts can be tagged with a “Paid Partnership” option.
