Recently, Snap commissioned research on the impact of online communications platforms on interpersonal relationships among teens and young adults users from the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago.
The results show that respondents who use Snapchat express greater satisfaction with the caliber of their friendships and familial relationships than those who do not, based on NORC data. In comparison to non-Snapchatters, 69% of Snapchatters say they feel like they have a place where they can show their creative side on these platforms, compared to just 58% of non-Snapchatters.
The social media app also said that the snapchatters also report positive feelings around creativity and self-expression.
