Snapchat+, Snapchat’s USD 3.99 per month subscription plan, is rolling out three new features to entice users to its paid service. Due to a decline in ad spending, the company introduced the subscription tier in late June as a means of generating additional revenue. The company reported in August that more than 1 million users have paid for the service since its debut. New features coming to Snapchat+ include the ability for users to set their Snapchat Stories to expire at intervals other than 24 hours, as well as the addition of new camera color borders that show up when taking pictures with the in-app camera and various custom notification sounds for when a friend Snaps them. The most notable of the new features is the ability to control when Stories expire.
