In addition to opening up access to its previously exclusive web-based platform to all users, Snapchat has announced new features to improve in-app engagement.

In order to manage unread messages and reply to Stories, Snap is first introducing new Chat Shortcuts. Similar to the option already present in Instagram and other apps, Snapchat is also adding new Question Stickers for Stories. Additionally, Snapchat is making its desktop app available to all users.

The web version of the app allows users to send messages, hold video chats, and make voice calls. In other words, all the key communication features of the app are now accessible via desktop PC. It was first released back in July to Snapchat+ users only.
