With the extension of its developer tools, Snapchat’s TikTok rival Spotlight is moving to the next level of development. Developers can now incorporate their apps into Spotlight clips. Users will be able to use these new creative tools to make Spotlight videos, which will then be instantly published to the Spotlight feed.
This could substantially increase the range of creative tools available for Spotlight, with numerous apps integrating into the feature, each with its own set of functionalities, allowing users to build entirely new Spotlight clips outside of the main app’s creative tools.
