Shopify introduces its initial AI commerce assistant

Shopify, a provider of essential internet infrastructure for commerce, has rolled out more than one hundred updates as part of its Summer ’23 Edition, a twice-yearly showcase of its most recent products and innovations.

These updates aim to increase productivity for Shopify’s merchants and include Sidekick, a brand-new, industry-first AI-enabled commerce assistant. Nine new Shopify Magic features, including FAQ and response suggestions tailored to a merchant’s store, are also being introduced with the Summer ’23 Edition. Instantly generated blog posts with the ability to quickly translate content into different languages for any occasion, professional milestone, or campaign idea.
