LinkedIn has announced that it is selling presentation-sharing platform SlideShare to Scribd. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition, Scribd will take over the operations of SlideShare on September 24 along with its 100 million users, and presentation upload and hosting tools, according to LinkedIn.

Scribd CEO and co-founder Trip Adler said then the acquisition of SlideShare is a major step towards creating the world’s largest digital library. The company provides information like business templates, academic papers, and public court filings as part of its premium subscription service along with audiobooks, podcasts, sheet music, and magazines.
