Facebook announced the launch of screen sharing services on both Messenger Rooms and Messenger App. The functionality can be used by dragging up the bottom function panel up to view more options while in a video call. The screen sharing option was launched earlier in 2020 for desktop and web apps.
Messenger allows 8 people in a video call and the Messenger Rooms allow 16 people in one chat. The screen sharing functionality opens up avenues for collaborations and new opportunities.
Group video chat usage has gone up 10 times in the pandemic as per socialmediatoday.com.
