Russia has no plans as of now to slow down the speed of Facebook and Google as a result of their failure to delete content that Moscow considers illegal, according to news agencies citing Roskomnadzor – Russia’s communications regulator.
As per Russian news agencies, Roskomnadzor chief Andrei Lipov was quoted as saying, “There has to be balance in everything. If the threats coming from a particular social network outweigh the benefit of this social network, then more radical measures will have to be applied against them. To date, we think the fines are enough.”
