Reddit’s ‘Trending Takeover’ Unit Allows Brands to Appear on Top

Reddit has recently announced the launch of its new ad unit, Trending Takeover – which will let brands emerge on top of the Popular feed and Search tab. The new feature has a campaign life of 24 hours, and it has been designed to align different brands with the most relevant and popular trends of the day. Advertisers can now buy the Reddit’s first ad type that is available in the trending section.

If users click on the ad, they will be directed to the landing page featuring the Reddit posts – depending upon the keywords that the brands put. Shariq Rizvi, Reddit VP of Ads Product and Engineering, said, “For Reddit, a large focus for 2020 is about maximizing new and premium opportunities for brands to authentically engage with Reddit users.”
