Reddit is improving its Contextual Keyword Targeting ad process even further, adding new terms to increase reach and more interest categories to better target audience interests.
The main improvement is keyword suggestions, a new list of AI-recommended topics that are compatible with the campaign-specific keywords users select. The suggestions are based on machine learning, which classifies keywords according to how frequently they are used in the app.
Reddit is also broadening its interest categories to give users more ways to connect with relevant subreddit communities. The firm is still planning to go public at some point, so it’s continuing to develop its ad targeting systems in an effort to take advantage of the market opportunity and increase revenue for the app.
