Pinterest Announces Initiatives to Support Underrepresented Groups Users

Pinterest has recently announced certain features to ensure creators from the minority category receive equal attention and representation in the platform. This involves an assurance to team up with more diverse groups, creating a new community-based information model.

The company noted it would help brands in listing their close affiliations. Pinterest has mentioned, “As we continue to build a platform for everyone, it’s important that the ideas Pinners discover and take action on are inclusive of our global community. It’s hard to feel inspired if you don’t feel represented.”

The company believes this will now ensure about 50% of all the managed creators it is working with come from “underrepresented groups.”
