Oracle is the latest entrant in the race to buy TikTok’s US business, according to a report from the Financial Times. Microsoft is a strong potential customer that is looking forward to purchasing the Chinese social media app, which is valued at over $20 billion.
Oracle is “seriously considering” acquiring TikTok’s business in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Last week, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order ordering ByteDance to sell its US business within 90 days. Both the companies are aiming to buy TikTok not only for its worldwide businesses but for subsections of the company’s operations in English-speaking countries.
