Professional networking platform LinkedIn announced the launch of new features in the Events option. The latest features include data capture processes, discovery capabilities, and promotion options. The discovery tab will increase the promotion of Events, the new customized event recommendations in the “My Network” tab will send weekly Events news email to users.
The platform will send automatic notifications to the followers of an organization’s page when a new event is added. Not all followers will receive the mail however, only users who are identified to have the highest possibility of attending the event will receive the notification. This feature will reduce the chances of spam notifications and emails.
