Meta Likely to Push Publishers Towards Short Video Format

Meta is currently attempting to persuade news firms to focus on short videos, which have seen the greatest increase in user interaction.

Aligning with the same, Meta has introduced a new News tab, which it has used as an enticement to form direct partnerships with publications in exchange for a percentage of income. The release statement explained that Meta Platforms is considering lowering the money it offers news organizations as it re-evaluates the agreements it made over the past few years.

Additionally, Meta is rethinking the utility of including news on its flagship Facebook app as part of its cost-cutting efforts.
