Meta’s making Branded Content on Facebook Reels available to all creators globally, which will provide another monetization avenue for short-form creators in the app.
As noted in Meta, business partners will be informed of user posts and will receive specific metrics regarding their performance if the Branded Content Tag is used. In order to comply with Meta’s promotional guidelines, all creator content that includes or is influenced by a brand or product in exchange for money must include a tag for that company.
In 2020, the business allowed the Branded Content Tag to be used for Instagram Reels for the first time. Now that Facebook Reels creators can add the tag, brands will have much more opportunity to collaborate with relevant creators in their niche and location on Facebook Reels promotions.
