Meta has detailed the most recent developments in its efforts to combat platform manipulation and hate speech, which have recently resulted in two significant network takedowns.
According to Meta’s most recent “Adversarial Threat Report,” two of the largest known covert influence operations in the world were recently dismantled through a cooperative effort that may also help to pave the way for new enforcement strategies in the future.
The two organizations, which had programs that targeted more than 50 social media apps, including Meta’s tools, were from China and Russia, respectively. In addition, Meta’s recently released a study on the impact of six network disruptions caused by Facebook’s ban on hate-based organizations.
