Meta has shared its latest update, an AI system that can use strategic reasoning and natural language to solve problems put before it. The first AI agent to perform at a human-level in the challenging natural language game “Diplomacy” is CICERO from Meta AI.
Playing against humans on the website webDiplomacy.net, the AI agent showed off this SOTA performance by outperforming all other players’ average scores by more than two to one. Yann LeCun, vice president and chief AI scientist at Meta, claimed that it is the first AI system to perform at a human-level level in the well-known strategy game “Diplomacy.”
He described how the updated Meta model can devise a plan, use language to communicate with people, and work together to accomplish objectives.
