The Fundamental Artificial Intelligence Research team at Meta Platforms Inc. has released a brand-new AI model that can instantly translate text into any language and format.
A multilingual and multitasking model that can translate and transcribe on demand in hundreds of languages is called SeamlessM4T. According to Meta, SeamlessM4T supports speech recognition, speech-to-text translation, and 35 output languages in addition to 100 input and 100 output languages for speech-to-speech translation.
For 100 input languages and 35 output languages, it can also translate text from one language to another and from text to speech.
