Meta has announced that the final stage of its messaging integration program has moved a step closer, with more Instagram users now able to activate end-to-end encryption in their IG Direct chats.
Early last month, Meta stated that its Instagram E2E test would be expanded to include more users. In the near future, the company will broaden the test even more to include individuals from more nations and offer more services like group chats.
According to Meta, once encryption is accessible across all of its messaging platforms, complete integration will be possible, allowing users to watch and interact with their WhatsApp, IG, and Messenger discussions within each individual app.
