MediaCo Holding Inc. has acquired all of Estrella Media’s network, content, digital and commercial operations business. This includes the EstrellaTV network and its digital channels.
The acquisition will give MediaCo access to Estrella Media’s Spanish-language video, audio, and digital content businesses. It will also provide access to its market-leading regional Mexican radio stations.
Veteran media executive Jacqueline Hernández will lead MediaCo as interim CEO. The terms of the transaction include a warrant to purchase up to a total of 28,206,152 newly issued MediaCo Class A common share, with an exercise price of US$0.00001 per share and approximately $30 million in cash.
