Media Company Meredith Acquires SwearBy to Boost its eCommerce Strategy


Meredith, the women’s lifestyle media company, has confirmed its agreement to acquire SwearBy, an affiliate marketing platform. The company has not disclosed any terms yet, but it will announce the acquisition deal today at CES 2020, Las Vegas. SwearBy is a platform for women users that invite influencers to recommend and discover trending products. With its portal and application, it provides an incremental revenue tool for influencers who are endorsing products.

SwearBy has helped Meredith’s effort to diversify revenue off advertising subscriptions. Meredith is planning to advance its business strategies with this acquisition by integrating  SwearBy’s existing service with all the digital magazine titles. This integration of eCommerce and influencer marketing is expected to benefit the business.
