LinkedIn, the social platform for the working world for networking and recruitment, has been dealing with spam, scams, toxicity, and fake news, they’re all significant problems on the platform that will only grow as traffic increases, and as businesses and individuals migrate from other social networks to LinkedIn and its competitors. According to the company, at the moment, 21 inMails, or direct messages, are sent every second with job openings. LinkedIn is introducing a “focused” option for incoming messages, with all other messages being placed in a “other” box. Additionally, LinkedIn is enabling new automatic spam and harassment detection as well as a new feature to report unwanted messages.
