LinkedIn has announced it is closing of LinkedIn Lite, its version of the platform designed for users in regions with more limited connections and data access providers.
Originally launched back in 2017 as a way to help balance the platform for all members when it comes to access, LinkedIn Lite incorporates the basic functionality of LinkedIn, and is designed to load quickly, while using small, useful data across regions, with data plans with additional restrictions.
The LinkedIn Lite app will be removed from Android app stores on January 27, before it closes completely on March 15th. LinkedIn says it will pass on to Lite app users full LinkedIn information in the next few weeks.
