Instagram is currently developing a new feature called ‘Achievements’ for Reels. The Reels options may soon include a new “Achievements” section that would show different badges depending on the performance of the user Reel.
Achievements would only be visible to users, and this could serve as a motivating factor to encourage users to post more Reels more frequently. According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, users are watching more and more video on the app.
The social media app could more effectively identify top creators by using achievement badges, and then invite them to the Reels Play Bonus program.
