Instagram has announced that it would change its ranking system to emphasise more original content on its site.
Following the announcement, Instagram stated that the social media company is altering its ranking algorithm to promote the dissemination of original material over replicated content in areas like the Reels tab and feed. The social media giant claims that reposts of Reels that are already on the app would now be less likely to be recommended. Instagram says that as the app promotes more material, it feels it’s critical that credit, dissemination, growth, and money go to the original author.
