With the increasing number of hacking instances, Instagram introduces a new Security Checkup notice in the app that will remind users to change their profile information and settings to keep their Instagram accounts secure.
Instagram said the security inspection will walk customers through the steps to safeguard their accounts if they’ve been hijacked. Checking login activity, examining profile information, confirming accounts that share login information and updating account recovery contact information like a phone number or email are all part of this process.
The check-up will be given to all users who have any amount of questionable activity, even if their businesses haven’t had any problems.
