Instagram Introduces New Option to Prevent Profile Visitors from Expanding the Profile Image

Instagram

Instagram recently added a new option that allows users to prevent profile visitors from expanding the profile image, which could be a way to prevent creepers from peeking at user photos.

Another method to safeguard privacy on the app could be to disable the option to expand the profile image that is now available in the Instagram profile settings. According to the app, if the expanded view is restricted, it may become more difficult for someone to steal user photo.

If they do manage to steal a smaller version, it will look grainy and pixelated, which may be another clue that the account is fake. Expanded profile images were added to Instagram last year, and most users probably aren’t even aware that they exist.
