Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has released a slew of new messaging features today, including rapid sharing, music previews, new chat themes, and more.
Instagram is introducing a new ‘reply while you browse’ feature that will allow users to respond to a message in-stream rather than having to go to their DM inbox. Instagram is also introducing new group chat themes, as well as enhanced messaging control choices (@silent) and polls.
Earlier this week, Messenger revealed the new @silent control, as well as a number of other shortcuts for activating other Messenger capabilities. In addition, Instagram is introducing new music sharing features in the DMs.
