With the widespread lockdowns, live-streaming features have increasingly gained popularity among creators – as more people are looking to replace the lost social interactions. As a result, Instagram has today announced its new features in order to help users maximize the IG Live streaming option.

It is extending the live streams time limit – from 60 minutes to four hours to help users pivot their purpose, without any interruption and 4x longer. Furthermore, Instagram is introducing the option for archiving the IG Live broadcasts. This will be available for up to 30 days – similar to that of the Stories feature.
