Instagram has begun the first live test of the capability to publish feed posts from the desktop version of the app, with a select number of users now having access to the full range of posting and upload options.
At the moment, the option does not include uploading of Stories or Reels, but subsequent testing has revealed that IGTV uploads are in the works as well, implying that complete posting functionality will be available soon.
The ability to upload from a desktop could be very helpful for social media managers who want to optimize their workflow and publish edited visuals and graphics created in other apps more quickly.
