IAB Tech Lab has released the final Data Deletion Request Framework to address consumer data privacy concerns in the digital advertising supply chain. The framework builds a standardized mechanism for transmitting data deletion request signals, ensuring authentication and receipt confirmation.

It aligns with the ‘Right to Delete’ under GDPR and US state privacy laws. Jared Moscow, Director of Product, Privacy, and Addressability at IAB Tech Lab, emphasized the framework’s significance in providing guidance and technical tools for efficiently managing data deletion requests.
