Google Will Restrict Advertising of Unapproved Tracking Tech

Google has recently announced that it would modify its policies in August 2020 – in order to restrict the advertising of certain spyware and malware.

Such unauthorized technologies generally track a user’s browsing history, texts, or phone
calls. The entities that violate the guidelines may face suspension advised Google.

The updated policy will not enable advertisers to promote products that are marketed to
track user actions – without their agreement. The tech giant has also asked users to review
the policy.
