Google Will Now Allow Users to Request the Removal of Personal Information-Containing Search

Users can now request search index search omissions for web pages that contain their address and contact information, among other potential identifiers, as part of Google’s appeals process for the removal of search listings that include personal information.

It’s the latest step in Google’s steady expansion of data protection terms, which include efforts to phase out cookie tracking and a recent update detailing how developers track and utilise data within Play Store listings.

In addition, Google recently established a new policy that allows anyone under the age of 18 (or their parent or guardian) to request that their photographs be removed from Google Search results. Users now have a lot more control over their internet information thanks to Google.
