Google Reveals Multi-task Modeling for New eCommerce Discovery

To streamline product discovery for customers as well as use multiple inputs in providing better contextual search results, Google has defined a range of coming search updates.

Multitask Unified Model (MUM) for search is a new addition to its portfolio that will enable users to conduct searches by utilizing visuals, variable inputs, search parameters and facilitating expanded discovery.

Additionally, users will be equipped with a visual as a reference point for Google’s advanced search capabilities. Furthermore, this capability can also be utilized in situations where users are unable to recall what something is called or just want to streamline the process.
