According to a tweet from the social media site, Google has reinstated Parler on the Google Play Store after removing the app in January 2021 due to the platform’s lax filtering of messages encouraging violence at the US Capitol.

After briefly banning it around the same time Google did, Apple temporarily reinstated Parler to its App Store in May 2021. According to Bloomberg, Parler, which promotes itself as a free speech platform, has agreed to monitor comments that appear in the Play Store app. The business previously disclosed to The Verge that it has a similar arrangement that enables it to continue appearing on the App Store.

The business added that its system could find violent material that goes against its rules
