Google LLC has raised the possibility of spinning off parts of its advertising technology business into a separate company. According to reports, after the split, the new business would function under Alphabet Inc. According to reports, the intended spinoff is related to the US Department of Justice’s current antitrust probe into Google. A probe into the corporation can result in legal action.
In order to dodge the lawsuit, Google reportedly intends to split off portions of its advertising technology business. Google also provides software that businesses can utilize to purchase publisher ad space.
