Google Plans New Deal to Pay French Publishers

Google Plans New Deal to Pay French Publishers

Google has recently announced the new deal that will observe it paying the French publishers for content  – especially news. This is a part of the Google News Showcase program.

Google has invested around $1 billion for the next three years – dedicated to news partnerships and Google News Showcase. It is to better support publications to produce, explain, and share important information to users in innovative ways.

The new panel provides the publishers with the ability to distribute the latest news and stories – along with context and links. It will also feature familiar branding so that online users can identify trusted news organizations quickly.
